The conference discussing Anglican Patrimony today
held on 25-26 April 2018 in Oxford
A message from Bishops John Hind and Michael Nazir-Ali
The impetus for this conference began in the 80th anniversary year of Michael Ramsey’s “The Gospel and the Catholic Church”. This suggested the possibility of a conference to consider the inheritance of traditional Anglicanism and the contribution this might make to the renewal of the Church. It attracted a wide participation from those who value orthodox Anglican Patrimony. The themes considered mission and evangelisation, ecumenism and ecclesiology, worship and liturgy, fidelity to the gospel (both in doctrine and ministry), culture and relations with the state.
The conference attracted highly-regarded speakers, who came from a wide range of churches and churchmanship. As well as providing the opportunity to hear from our speakers, we designed the conference programme to provide ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
It was good to welcome so many people to the conference, and any future possible conferences will be notifed via this website.
